2 under 5 and a big kid

Like I said before it has been a long day.  How long?  4am long. tantrums, near constant nursing, grocery run, baking and no nap long.
How did I do it?  I honestly don't know. One cup of coffe this morning is hardly enough to do it. I got up to feed the baby and let my husband in with the groceries, (he closed and then went shopping-it's how he works) then just stayed up to get the oldest off to school and make her lunch. It just happened really.

I am a nursing mommy, with a 1 month old and an almost 20 month old.  It's been a very interesting 2 yrs. Especially since we moved spring of last year and had a 4 month old then, only to have another baby this year..why aren't I more exhausted? That's tiring sounding in just words.

But we're happy. The toddler is a handful with a little one, but has adjusted pretty well. She gets played with and cuddled when I'm not nursing. Her only chore is to go to the mailbox with me. When I can get her outside I do, sometimes nursing gets in the way of that.  It's funny though, she doesn't like it but she tries to live with it, albeit there's a lot of fits. Comes with the territory.
The baking today was for lactation cookies. Also the grocery run was for the ingredients I didn't have. I hope it works. #3 will be the only baby to be successfully nursed if it does.  but I have to remember to hydrate constantly and take my vitamins and eat. Being tired does that. I'm sure being tired isn't helping either.
The near constant nursing is because #3 cluster feeds. That's when he does a lot of eating then sleeps for while. What they expect to happen is they eat on each side then have a break of 2-3 hours in between. That's how we started. But that's not how we ended up. But I can count on #2 to be my light. #2 played at nursing a baby doll today but from a bellybutton.  It was funny. My husband didn't want to comment on it.

It's hard being a stay at home mom with one much older than the others. There is that demand for one-on-one time that the older one needs and his harder to give. But it's worth it. Patience is a must, even when you're tired. and the chores are always there. If you are just starting out parenting or have a few already, it's never boring. IT's always exhausting, but never boring. And if you're like me, don't worry. That time to yourself you had become accustomed to will comeback. Don't waist the time with them while they are small, because that won't come back.

2 Under 5 and big kid

In the last 3 years life has gotten really interesting.  We started homeschooling our oldest who is now in public school. you will understand that in just a minute, and we have 2 under 2yrs old.

So I am turning into a mommy blogger. I don't know how often this will happen but I want to try. I will have guest bloggers if I can. Other mommies of course, ne of whom has a child with peanut and egg allergies.

This first post is informative of that. The next I will do tonight after all the kids are in bed and I can talk about today because it is going to be interesting.

If I have any friends left following me I will try to link this with my facebook page and hopefully get some guests on here.

Love to my friends and family. :)
